Website report

The site is hidden from Google. That's a setting, not a broken site.

The short version

Google has zero pages from glossnsilk.com. Search the salon's exact name and Yelp, Instagram, Facebook and MapQuest come up. The website does not.

The reason is a tag on every page that tells Google "do not list this page." Google is doing what the site asks.

The good news: this looks like one setting, not a rebuild. The writing is real, and every service has its own page. Fix the setting first, then the titles and photo labels.

We asked 5 AI tools. They mostly named other places.

We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Mode the same 10 questions a new client would ask, like "Where can I get a Brazilian Blowout in Newport Beach?" Every tool searched the web live. Gloss&Silk came up in 6 of 50 answers.

What worked

  • Google's AI named her 4 times. Each time it used her Google Maps listing: 5.0 stars, 60 reviews and the booking link.
  • Asked about Gloss&Silk by name, all 5 tools knew her and described the head spa, the drinks and the address.

What did not

  • The other four tools gave 48 answers and used her website as a source 0 times. They used Yelp, Instagram and listing sites instead.
  • Competitors' own websites did get used, like Basin Street Hair, Cristophe, Glo Nail Bar and Kenneth Brown Salons.
  • ChatGPT called her reviews "pretty limited." It found 1 review on Yelp, not her 60 on Google.
  • Claude said her spray tans "aren't mentioned." It read her Instagram bio, not her website.

Asked October 19, 2026, with each tool's live web search on. Google's AI Mode was asked from Newport Beach. AI answers change from day to day.

Check it yourself

Every point here can be checked in a minute, with no special tools.

  1. Search Google for site:glossnsilk.com. Google answers that it did not match any documents.
  2. On a computer, open glossnsilk.com, right-click, choose View Page Source, and search for noindex. That is the tag telling Google to stay away.
  3. Open glossnsilk.com/sitemap.xml. It says page not found.
  4. Scroll to "Follow" on any page and tap the Facebook icon. It opens Wix's Facebook page.

Scorecard

F

Can Google find it?

Every page has a hidden tag that tells Google "do not list this page." We checked all 10 pages in the menu, three times each, posing as Google's own robot. All 30 checks found it. The site map Google uses is also missing.

D

Page titles

The home page title starts with "HOME." No page title says hair salon or Newport Beach. One says "Brazillian," a misspelling people do not search.

C

Main headline

Nine of the ten pages have two to four main headlines, so Google cannot tell which one matters. The testimonials page has none.

C

Map info for Google and AI

The hidden code Google reads has the street address. It is missing the phone, the hours and the map pin.

D

Photo labels

On the home page, only 3 images have a real label, and those are the social media icons. Every other photo is blank or a camera file name like IMG_4181.jpg.

C

Content and web addresses

The writing is real and specific: 7 parking spots, a drink menu, a short walk to the beach. But page addresses are codes, like /about-1-1 for spray tans. Only the home page has a summary line.

B

Speed

In our test the server answered in about a tenth of a second. But each page is about 1 MB of code before any photos load. Google's own speed test was not available on the day we checked.

D

Ready for AI search

Named in 6 of 50 answers across 5 AI tools. Four of those came from Google, using her Maps listing. Her website was used as a source 0 times.

What is working

  • The writing sounds like a real place. Seven parking spots, coffee and cocktails, a short walk to the beach.
  • The address and phone number are on the page in plain words.
  • Every service has its own page: color, Brazilian Blowouts, nails, makeup, head spa and spray tans.
  • The server is fast, and the "Start The Journey" button goes straight to online booking.

What is hurting them

  • Every page tells Google "do not list me." In Wix this is usually one switch in the SEO settings.
  • The site map Google uses is missing.
  • The Facebook and Instagram icons under "Follow" on every page go to Wix's own pages, not the salon's.
  • No page title says hair salon or Newport Beach. "Brazillian" is misspelled in the menu and title.
  • Photos have no real labels. Page addresses are codes like /about-1-1.

Bottom line

Right now the site is hidden from Google by a setting. Nothing else matters until that is fixed. The hard part is done: the writing is real and every service has its own page. Our estimate: turn the switch on, fix the titles and the icons, and this climbs from a 2 to around a 7.

The fix list

Biggest win at the top.

  1. Turn on "Let search engines index your site" in Wix SEO settings. Then check that each page lets Google list it.
  2. Send the site map to Google in Search Console so Google comes back sooner.
  3. Point the Facebook and Instagram icons under "Follow" at the salon's own pages.
  4. Rewrite each page title to say the service and Newport Beach. Fix "Brazillian" to "Brazilian."
  5. Give each service page its own summary line and a plain address, like /spray-tan instead of /about-1-1.
  6. Keep one main headline per page. Turn the rest into smaller headings.
  7. Label every photo with what it shows, like "blonde balayage at Gloss&Silk in Newport Beach."
  8. Add the phone, hours and map pin to the hidden code Google reads.
  9. Use a plain booking link on the site. The current one carries Google's tracking tag, so website bookings may be counted as Google bookings.
